Bart Smit (PhD) is a microbiologist with passion for Sustainable living and Food. In his carreer he tries to understand the behaviour of microorganisms in product(ion) environments. In his career he worked for research institutes, multinationals and small/medium sized businesses. Combining all these experiences he is convinced that the microbial baviour (taste, safety, etc) depends largely on its environment, and that this will enable both small initiatives, as well as multinationals to benefit from these capabilities both serving revelevant and unique products to their intensely interwoven markets.
The presentation will be an practical visualisation of how one can explore the natural biodiversity in a relevant way.
